A House Full of Boys

I am now officially outnumbered in our household now, and the new baby isn't even here yet!  Meet our new family member.  We've had him for two days now.

His name is Bentley and he is our little 8-week old maltese puppy.  Right now he weighs no more than two pounds and will be about six full grown.  Isn't he tiny?

Preston loves him already!  He gives him hugs, calls him woof woof, doggie, puppy, and "betly"

He also is constantly bringing him toys, even when he's sleeping.  The only thing I'm worried about is when he tries to be like the dog and does things like chewing on his bone, and drinking water out of Bentley's bowl doggie style.  Can you get any grosser!?

He loves mommy and follows me everywhere, he even sleeps on my feet.

What a handsome fellow he is!  Thanks again for the sweater Matt and Holly, he's not getting quite as cold outside now, even though his feet slide out of it sometimes. :)

The New Look

A few months ago we noticed Preston's right eye was starting to wander in.  We finally got an appt. with an pediatric opthamologist at the beginning of December and found out he has a "lazy eye" which we suspected because my dad and two of my brothers have had lazy eyes.  He's also more far sighted than normal so he gets to wear glasses now!  He keeps them on and actually really likes them, we're glad!  I've never had glasses before but I started getting really bad headaches especially when I was reading and on the computer.  I think it was contributing to my morning sickness too.  Anyway, I went and got my eyes checked for the first time and even though I have almost 20/20 vision I have an astigmatism which makes things kind of blurry.  Now that I have my glasses I've been feeling much better.

 

Now we'll just have to see if Gabe will end up needing glasses too. :)  We went from a no glasses family to 2/3 of our family having glasses, it was pretty crazy!  So, how do you think we look?

It sure has been a while since I've posted anything. The holidays have kept us busy and on top of that we didn't have internet access for the three weeks we were staying with my parents the past couple of months... so I'm not a complete slacker, right?

Anyway, I decided I should write about this because it is time sensitive material. We are going to find out if we're having a boy or a girl this Friday around 4:00 p.m. so cast your votes and see if your guess is right.

Gabe thinks it's a girl but the chinese gender calendar says otherwise, so I guess we'll just have to see who really knows what they're talking about. :)
