The Oven

Gabe was able to safely remove the burned out element from our oven.

It really burned through...

and left a lot of ash with it, but there is our shiny new element, with a not so shiny oven.

Gabe made sure to have the fire extinguisher handy just in case he accidentally wired it wrong, and Preston was willing to help too of course. Luckily all went well and after a couple of ovenless weeks, it's as good as new.

Guns and Roses

One day we went out skeet shooting with some friends in the ward... you know the usual... okay, not really it was a first for us and we had a lot of fun. Gabe did well by shooting 12 out of 25, of course I only got 2, but it was all in good fun. I was wearing the wrong jacket... and I was afraid of bruising my face so I didn't really aim.... oh well. We had a good time!

Well there weren't any actual roses that night but while we were away Preston had a good ol' time with his friends Dalia and Tesila Rose. It kind of works, right? Anyway, I never knew he was such a bully, but he does love penguins.

He learned to dance that night too. Dalia taught him how to spin... I think the arm waving thing he came up with all on his own.
