Time for the comparison picture. Here I am at 38 weeks with Preston.
Today I'm 38 weeks along once again. I think I'm definately bigger. I started out 5 pounds less with this pregnancy, and now I weigh one more pound then I was when Preston was born at 41 weeks! I think all the bed rest caught up with me.
I feel REALLY wide too!
Now we're just waiting for the baby to arrive. At my appointment today my doctor told me that in the last week I went from being a 1 and 70% effaced to being almost a 3 and still 70% effaced. The doctor also stripped my membranes so we'll see if anything comes from it. My doctor also said that if I haven't gone into labor by next weekend (the fifth) he would be willing to break my water while he's on duty since my cervix is already "ripe." No matter what there's not much time left! Luckily we've got everything important done around the house and are just finishing little things while we wait. I was so excited I finally got to get a pedicure two days ago! Unfortunately it didn't put me in to labor, but at least my stubby toes look pretty now! Let me tell you, it's not easy to take a picture of your toenails with a big belly in the way. ;)

HOpe everything works out! Why did they strip your membranes at 38 Weeks? Isn't that a little early? I am never dilated at all till the day I go into labor, so you never know what will happen!
ReplyDeleteAwww, cute toes and belly! Well it should be soon now! How exciting! Funny thing is that your due date is one day before mine was supposed to be! We could've been having babies on the same day! LOL! But I'm okay with waiting. I hope the labor and everything goes smoothly if I don't hear from you before then!
