Picking Blueberries With Grandma Debbie

At the end of August last year Gabe's parents came to visit us.  One of our first outings together was to go to a nearby blueberry farm.  It is literally just down the street which was nice so we left Carter at home with Grandpa and were able to get back before he woke up.
Everyone was excited to get started filling their buckets.

Grandma helped Preston pick berries at first.

Then she got down to business and did some serious picking...
Photobucket
but of course kept going back to helping Preston out.
Photobucket
He wasn't quite sure what to do with them,
Photobucket
so she told him to put them in his bucket.
Photobucket
I was able to have some peace and quiet while I picked on my own.
Photobucket
Gabe was nice enough to get me in a few of the pictures. ;)

After a little bit of picking we decided to venture over and see what this was all about, unfortunately the inside was all covered in spiders and other yucky things.

When Preston realized he couldn't play in it he ran right back to the blueberry plants.
Photobucket
He is so mischevious.
Photobucket
Now he's got the art of blueberry picking down.
Photobucket
...and has always had the art of blueberry eating down.
Photobucket
He could probably eat blueberries all day long if I let him.  Notice how empty his bucket is.  He was picking the entire time, but most of them ended up inside of his tummy rather than his bucket.

When we were done filling our buckets Grandma took Preston over to the little stream to look for frogs.
Photobucket
When we couldn't find any we decided to take pictures instead.
Photobucket
Preston is always more agreeable when someone else has the camera.
Photobucket
I like this "family" picture Grandma Debbie took for us, too bad Carter was at home sleeping though. ;)
Photobucket
Gabe gave Preston a ride on his shoulder's back to the car...
Photobucket
while I took a few pictures of nature.

Overall, we had a fun and full little outing, in more ways than one. ;)
