When Preston was six weeks old we had some pictures taken at JCPenney. We have them up in our living room now, but I wanted some similar ones with Carter in them to replace the old ones. I didn't want to go to JCPenney again so we did our best to recreate the same type of picture from our own house. Here's what we came up with thanks to my handy dandy tripod.
I have a picture of my kissing Preston when he was a baby that mirrors this on, so we're going to have one on either side of the family picture. The color is weird because I had to make it match the JCPenney sepia.
It's amazing how hard it was to get things going just to take pictures in my own house. Gabe kept Preston entertained with books while I set up.
Preston of course wanted mommy to read books too. Can you tell Carter is really into it?
While I finished setting up the tripod Carter napped patiently on the couch.
When I went back to get him he was sleeping like this. What a goofball!
We tried our best to get a picture of our boys together.
Preston stayed interested just long enough to take a picture or two.
Gabe and Carter were much more willing models.
Gabe because he knew I'd be upset if he wasn't, and Carter because he was still sleeping, luckily.
Gabe did a good job getting sweet pictures of Carter and I.
Of course I was a willing model too. There aren't many pictures of Carter and I together, so I'm glad to have some.
Don't worry, he didn't try to put up a fight. :)
We did get Preston to sit for another minute or two.
Luckily I got one picture of their feet before Preston slid himself out from under Carter, good thing it turned out.
The only picture we got of them together. I'm glad I can cherish that sweet moment.
Preston only agreed to let me take pictures of him because I let him jump around on the couch.
He kept jumping and falling down. He thought he was pretty funny.
He really is a sweet boy.
Look at that face, so innocent. At least he looks that way, right. :)

Wow! Those pictures are really great! Hope you're surviving being a mother of two :)

ReplyDeleteThose turned out really good! I am always really frustrated trying to take pictures with my tripod because no one will stay put! And the kids always want to play with the tripod. We'll see if we can handle it with three kids!
