Relaxing at the Beach

It has been so warm and pretty here lately I decided to take my mom to our local lake beach for a little bit of swimming (done mostly by Preston) and relaxing (done mostly by the rest of us).

I did spend a little time scooping the sand for Preston

and teaching him how to scoop it himself, so I wouldn't have to.

It was so nice to be out in the sun on such a beautiful day.

After just a little bit more time in the sand

My mom took Preston out to see the water.

He wasn't interested at first, and just kept digging in the sand.

He eventually got a little bit closer.

And started taking the sand from the edge of the water and putting it in his bucket.

Then he would fill the bucket with water and take it back over to the sand.

Finally he decided going out into the water would be fun... but only if I went with him.

It didn't take long before we were back in the sand with seaweed covered feet.

Eating our lunch.

There's nothing like sand filled peanut butter sandwiches.

Carter just loves the beach, he slept the entire time under the shade of the umbrella.
